Different forms of media (movies, books, television, news) have impacted the field of Forensic Psychology in recent years. In books, forensic psychology is usually presented in a manner that is educational with the intent to inform the reader, who most likely knows nothing or very little about the subject. Other forms of media like television or movies portray forensic psychology as a thrilling career full of suspense for the purpose of entertainment. The ways forensic psychology is presented in the media impact how the readers/viewers perceive the field of forensic psychology. Although forensic psychology is not always presented in a way that actually resembles its careers in reality, it has become more accessible and more popular to the masses through media.
